SSC600 and SSC600 SW Engineering Manual

The IP address and the corresponding subnet mask can be set via WHMI for Ethernet interfaces in the IED. Each Ethernet interface has a default factory IP address when the complete IED is delivered.

Note: The IED's local port IP address is fixed to “192.168.0.254” and it cannot be modified.
Note: The IED's remote port IP address is fixed to “192.168.1.254” and it cannot be changed.
  1. Set the IP address for the IED's port and the corresponding subnet mask via the WHMI path Configuration/Communication/Ethernet.
Table 1. Default IP addresses and corresponding subnet masks
    PortIP addressSubnet mask
    Rear port192.168.2.10255.255.255.0
    Local port192.168.0.254
    Remote port192.168.1.254
    Service port192.168.3.10255.255.255.0
    Protection communication port192.168.4.10255.255.255.0
Note: Communication fails if the IP addresses of the local / remote and the rear port belong to the same subnet.
Note: When using redundant Ethernet (PRP), configure all devices in the network before connecting cables to ports LAN A and LAN B. Avoid using the LAN A or LAN B ports on redundant communication modules while changing the Switch mode parameter.
