The protection relay supports the IEC 61850 process bus with the IEC 61850-9-2LE or IEC 61869-9 sampled values protocol. IEC 61850 Configuration tool in PCM600 verifies the SMV sender configuration, and it gives a warning if the configuration is not according to the standard. If SMV is sent for example to a 3rd party device, it must be ensured that the SMV receiver is capable to handle the specified SMV options.
