REX640 Engineering Manual

PCM600 has a feature to set user defined names for signals, function blocks and hardware channels. Functions and signals where setting user defined name is supported are having blue color in application configuration tool. These user defined names are used in different PCM600 tool components and on HMI to ease identification of function or signal usage.

In PCM600 Application Configuration tool user defined name can be set by selecting Set User Defined Name from context menu, or by editing User Defined Name property in Object Properties pane.

User defined names are not shown on REX640 HMI and Web HMI by default. User must enable them by setting parameter Configuration > HMI > User defined name.
