REX640 Engineering Manual

The SCD file can be imported only at the substation level.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
    1. Select Flexible Product Naming. In the General tab, select Import as Flexible Product Naming SCD option enabled.
    2. Select IEC 61850 Configuration. In the Engineering tab, clear the IEC 61850 configuration engineering model enabled check box.
    3. Click OK.

  2. Right-click a substation level, and then click Import.
  3. Browse and select the SCD file.
  4. Click Open to open the file.
  5. Select Import as Flexible Product Naming SCD.

    The imported SCD file changes the substation structure. The internal IED from the original substation structure is replaced and pushed to the unassigned IEDs folder.

  6. Drag the unassigned IED over the internal IED.

    Note: Importing the FPN SCD file converts the project into an FPN project. The conversion is irreversible.
    Note: FPN projects do not support configuring GOOSE with Application Configuration.
