IEC 61850 Structure Mapping is used to manage the IED's data model as required. This is done by mapping the data model to the customer-specific data model. IEC 61850 Structure Mapping is available only in FPN projects in PCM600. A PCM600 project can be converted into an FPN project by importing an FPN SCD file into it. FPN is supported for both IEC 61850 Edition 1 and IEC 61850 Edition 2.
FPN allows the use of standardized, predefined and IED vendor independent templates for building and maintaining substations. See the PCM600 documentation for more information about FPN.
