  • Configure HMI pages for all the relays that are intended to be connected to the SHMI. These steps are described separately.
  • Configure bay overview for each relay by using Graphical Display Editor. Create SHMI pages, configure SLDViewPort or Image widgets, and create single-line diagrams shown on the SHMI navigation page.
    1. To configure a single-line diagram for the bay overview, create a single-line diagram in Switchgear HMI SLD Editor. Create an SHMI page in Page Organizer, add an SLDViewPort widget to the SHMI page, and select the previously drawn SHMI SLD to be shown.
    2. To configure an image for the bay overview, create an SHMI page in Page Organizer. Add an Image widget to the SHMI page, and select the image to be shown in the bay overview.
    3. Save the configuration and write the bay overview configuration to the relay.
    4. Close Graphical Display Editor.
  • Create an SHMI object in the plant structure.
  • Start Switchgear HMI Configuration from the SHMI object to configure the navigation page for the SHMI.
    1. Set the substation name, voltage level and switchgear name according to the project requirements.
    2. Ensure that all bay overviews under the Switchgear HMI Navigation Page Configuration section are presented as intended in the SHMI navigation page. The order of bays can be changed and any bay overviews unintended for the SHMI can be moved to the Unallocated bays overview section.
    3. Preview the navigation page to ensure that the result is correct.
  • Set up a connection to the relays through a station network so that all the relays are reachable.
  • Write the SHMI configuration to all allocated relays.
