REX640 Engineering Manual

Note: A maximum of 20 REX640 relays can be connected to one SHMI.
  1. In the Plant Structure, right-click a substation, a voltage level or a bay and point to New, point to General and select SHMI to create an SHMI object.

Each SHMI object represents one SHMI in the installation.

  2. Right-click the SHMI object and select Switchgear HMI Configuration.
  3. Define Substation Name, Voltage Level and Switchgear Name to be shown on the SHMI navigation page.
  4. Drag the bay overviews to change their order, to allocate them for the SHMI or to remove them from the SHMI.
All relays that support the SHMI are visible in the tool, and 20 relays are automatically assigned to the SHMI. The unallocated bay overviews are available to be assigned for other SHMIs in the project.

  5. Click Preview to test the result on the SHMI.
  6. Click Write to write the SHMI configuration to all allocated relays.
Note: Ensure that a connection is made to the relays through a station network. All relays should be reachable in the network when the SHMI configuration is written to the relays.
