The HMI supports two alarm handling approaches.
- Alarm list
- Programmable LEDs
The alarm list approach uses event configuration to elevate an event to an alarm. The programmable LEDs approach is similar to the traditional programmable LEDs where instead of a physical LED, a virtual LED user interface element is used.
Programmable LEDs have three different presentation methods in the user interface.
- Programmable LEDs page
- Virtual Alarm LED widget
- Alarm Annunciator full-page widget
Programmable LEDs page is available in ABB Built-in Pages category in the Page Organizer. Programmable LEDs page automatically shows configured LEDs and alarm texts. Page has buttons for clearing LEDs and resetting trips.
Virtual Alarm LED widget is single programmable LED. It can be added on any operator page on HMI and it shows status and alarm text for configured LED. There are also button widgets available for clearing LEDs and resetting trips.
Alarm annunciator is full page widget where user configures up to 64 alarms. Alarms are presented in groups containing up to 16 alarms each.
