REX615 Modbus Master Communication Protocol Manual

All one-bit data in the is readable either from the 0X or 1X memory area. The Modbus bit point addresses are similar regardless of the memory area. In addition, the same one-bit data can also be read either from the 3X or the 4X area. In this case, the bit values are packed into 16-bit 3X and 4X registers. The bit locations follow a pattern like the 0X and 1X locations.

The following parameters can be configured by the user:

Table 1. User-configurable parameters
Property Range Editable Description
Mapping 1 No Mapping number
Slave Number 1... 255 Yes Modbus Slave number for the request
Register Type 0 - 1x area Yes Modbus area where the requested value exists
1 - 2x area
3 - 3x area
4 - 4x area
Point Address 1... 65535 Yes Modbus data address

An empty address field disables the polling for that signal

Coding 1 ... 255 Yes Defines how to interpret the requested bit(s) Bit 7 – “0” Regular value “1” – Inverted value. Bit 0...6 – expansion/future use
Description ASCII 20 characters No Signal description
Group 0 ... 255 Yes 0 – Request is polled separately, no grouping
1... 255 – Request is polled along with other requests belonging to the same group number
Bit Number 0 ... 16 Yes If the Register Type/area is 3 or 4, then define which bit within the register. In case of areas 0 or 1 this property is ignored
