REX610 Engineering Manual

  1. Install the latest Connpack version.
  2. If the user wants to update the firmware to the latest version without a change in HW configuration, skip this step.

Otherwise, if a new optional module is to be inserted which is supported by the newer Firmware version:
    1. Turn off the relay.
    2. Insert the new optional modules.
    3. Turn the relay on.
For example, in REX610 1.1, an ARC HW module is supported. If the user wants to upgrade REX610 1.0 with ARC protection feature, the ARC module must be inserted at this step.
  3. Do a ping test to the relay to check for healthy network connection.
  4. Select the REX610 instance in the plant structure to be updated with new firmware.
  5. Set the IP address of the REX610 instance to be the same as the relay’s IP address.

A green check mark on the left of the REX610 instance indicates successful connection.

Note: Before starting the firmware update procedure, do a read operation to store the backup of the configuration from the relay.
