The USB communication must be enabled both in the relay and in PCM600.
- On the LHMI, set the Enable USB parameter to "True" via Configuration > System for communicating with USB from PCM600. User credentials are required to activate USB communication on the LHMI when Remote override in the relay is set to "False". User credentials are not required to activate USB communication on the LHMI when Remote override in the relay is set to "True".
- Ensure only one relay is connected to the PC via USB when connected to the front port.

Ensure the drive is available in the PC after USB connection with the relay (no external drivers’ installation needed).

Select USB in the configuration wizard and follow the same steps as when configuring relay in rear port.

Right-click the IED and select Communication Port to activate a communication port.

The selected communication port is displayed next to Selected Port on the Object Properties window.

Note: IP address is not available when Communication Port is set to "Front Port (USB)".Some tool operations are not supported when the relay is connected using the front port. In such cases, the tool displays “The operation is not supported using front port USB connection” in the output window.
