REX610 Engineering Manual

A hardware module can be added or removed using the supported hardware modules in the optional card space. The optional hardware modules can also be replaced with other supported hardware modules in the slot. A hardware configuration change in Hardware Configuration of PCM600 also updates the composition code in PCM600 Object properties.

  1. In the Plant Structure view, right-click the IED and select Hardware Configuration.

  2. Add or remove cards.

    • Add or replace a hardware module by selecting the applicable cards in the Card Type column to match with the IED hardware cards.
    • Remove a hardware module by removing the option available in the optional card space for the slot.
  3. When applicable, update the application configuration to write valid configuration to the IED.
    Note: Fixed card space cannot be changed in the Hardware Configuration tool. Modifications are allowed in the optional card space only.
