- Make a sketch of how to present the single-line diagram.
- Place the apparatus, transformer and other symbols that are needed for the single-line diagram into the raster boxes.
- Add Junction points where needed.
- Link the apparatus symbols with line elements.
- In the Object Properties view, adjust the text symbols while writing to north, east, south or west.
- Place measurements when needed.
- Edit the name, unit and the number of the measurements' decimals.
- Select each object that has a dynamic link and make the link to the corresponding process object.

Check that the correct function block is selected.
Function blocks of the same type can have different instance numbers.

- Save the complete picture.
- Write to the IED.
- Validate the single-line diagram on the protection relay.
