Exporting a project enables you to transfer a project between different computers as a single file. The supported file formats are APCMP and APCMA.
APCMP is the default format suitable for common use. APCMA/PCMA is an archiving format which should be used if the export file is stored for a long time. It is an SQL Server version independent format which can always be imported directly to the latest PCM600 version. As exporting and importing an APCMA/ PCMA file takes longer, APCMP is a better format for normal use.
Note: Old APCMP/PCMP files can be imported to the latest product version but in some cases the files must first be opened in an older product version to create an intermediate conversion. For example, a PCMP file created with PCM600 Ver.1.5 must be opened once in any PCM600 version between 2.0 and 2.7 before it can be opened in PCM600 Ver.2.8 or later.
