PCM600 Getting Started Guide

New objects can be created on the Data Sets, GOOSE Controls, Report Controls, Sampled Value Controls, Subnetworks, Data Set Templates, GOOSE Control Templates, Report Control Templates and Sampled Value Control Templates tabs.

  • Create new objects on the Data Sets, GOOSE Controls, Report Controls or Sampled Value Controls tab.
    1. Open the dialog box for creating a new object in one of the alternative ways.
      • On the Edit menu, click New.
      • Click the New button on the PCM600 toolbar.
      • Press CTRL+ALT+N.
    2. Create a new object.
      1. In the tree on the left, select the logical node where to create the new object.
      2. If available, select a template as a basis for the new object (optional).
      3. Type or select the required information in the fields on the right.
      4. Click OK or press ENTER to create the object.
  • Create new objects on the Subnetworks tab.
    1. Open the dialog box for creating a new object in one of the alternative ways.
      • On the Edit menu, click New.
      • Click the New button on the PCM600 toolbar.
      • Press CTRL+ALT+N.
    2. Create a new subnetwork.
      1. Enter a unique subnetwork name in the Name box (mandatory).
      2. Type a description in the Description box (optional).
      3. Click OK or press ENTER to create the object.
  • Create new objects on the Data Set Templates, GOOSE Control Templates, Report Control Templates and Sampled Value Control Templates tabs.
    1. Open the dialog box for creating a new object in one of the alternative ways.
      • On the Edit menu, click New.
      • Click the New button on the PCM600 toolbar.
      • Press CTRL+ALT+N.
    2. Create a new template.
      1. Enter a unique template name in the Name box (mandatory).
      2. Enter a template description in the Description box (optional).
      3. Enter a default name in the Default name box (optional).
      4. Enter a default description in the Default description box (optional).
      5. Enter or select the required information in the rest of the fields.
      6. Click Save to create the template.
